Bafana Bafana captain Aaron "Mbazo" Mokoena feels their preparations for the Confederations Cup are back on track after Saturday's 2-1 win over Norway in the Nelson Mandela Challenge.

"The feeling is great," he said. "We made a promise to Madiba and the rest of South Africa earlier on in the week that we won't let them down. The past six days have been hectic and we are happy that we delivered.

"We had to win this one, especially after the disappointing result against Chile. I have no shred of doubt that we are back on track in terms of the preparations for the Confederations Cup.

"We knew that it was going to be tough because Norway have some of the best players and are busy with the 2010 World Cup qualifiers. It is important for us to play more games against the best teams in the world to identify the areas where we are still lacking."

Mokoena, whose contract with Blackburn Rovers in England ends in May, said the search for a new home will start at the end of the season.

Mokoena is Bafana Bafana's most capped player with 82 games.

l Bafana Bafana are already in Switzerland for tomorrow night's game against the Cristiano Ronaldo-led Portugal.
