A church is a place of worship where Christians are equal before the Lord.
It is supposed to be a holy place where people pray God to forgive them their sins and to help them forgive those that sin against them.
It is not a place for feuds.
Reports that there is a hostile white clique at Christ Church in Arcadia, Pretoria, which has forced Professor Barney Pityana to resign as priest-in-charge, are unfortunate.
Apartheid has no room anywhere in the world, let alone in the Church.
Elders at Christ Church should move swiftly to resolve this impasse before it impacts negatively on the congregation and cause tensions. Christians must do what they always preach - love one another.
