KwaZulu-Natal police involved in three high-profile investigations, including the killing of ANC member Inkosi Mbongeleni Zondi, have moved swiftly to crack the cases.
Two suspects were arrested this week in connection with Zondi's murder two weeks ago. The third was killed in a shootout with police. Two other suspects were arrested in connection with the attempted murders of ANC chairman Mantobela Ngcobo and ANC MP Zulu prince Zeblon Zulu.
The cops should be commended for a job well done.
They should, however, investigate further and establish the motives for the attacks following suspicions that they could be politically motivated.
