The Gauteng education department says that all outstanding matric results have now been released.
The department's Nanagolo Leopeng said: "Our records reflect that all learners who sat for the 2008 National Senior Certificate and have fully complied with the examination and assessment requirements, have received their results.
"However, there may be cases where learners have not as yet received their results due to technical or serious irregularities as well as those learners who were absent for one or more components of a specific subject."
She said all examination queries raised with the department concerning outstanding results had been dealt with and cleared. One such was West Ridge High School, where 27 matric pupils did not receive their computer aided technology results because of incomplete portfolios. They did their portfolios two weeks ago and got their results last week.
Ivan Molefe, a parent, said: "We are happy that the results are finally out. It's just unfortunate that they are late. The universities are already full. We now have to consider a private college so that he [son] does not stay home the whole year."
