Thanda Royal Zulu coach Roger Palmgren has welcomed the return from suspension of his deadly forward Bernard Parker ahead of their Absa Premiership match against Kaizer Chiefs on Sunday.

Amakhosi fell 2-1 victims to the KwaZulu-Natal side at home in the first round. This time Amabhubesi host Chiefs at Kings Park Stadium in Durban at 3.30pm.

Parker, the leading Absa Premiership goal scorer with 10 goals, was conspicuous by his absence when Amabhubesi suffered a 0-1 defeat at Ajax Cape Town last Sunday.

But the return of Parker, who is on the verge of signing for Serbian club Red Star Belgrade, should worry Chiefs.

Thanda did not play badly against Ajax. They competed with the log leaders in all departments, failing only to find the net.

Palmgren is not worried about Amakhosi in spite of Chiefs' confidence-boosting 1-0 win over Mamelodi Sundowns on Sunday.

Chiefs' new recruit, Abia Nale, and fellow forward Jose Torrealba are among the players Palmgren is wary of.

Amakhosi coach Muhsin Ertugral was unavailable for comment yesterday.

Meanwhile, Gordon Igesund faces a herculean task to save his job as coach of Maritzburg United, where his future is hanging by the thinnest thread.

He will have to get positive results in his next two matches against title chasers Ajax Cape Town and SuperSport United.

They engage Ajax at Woodburn Stadium tomorrow at 3.30pm without the suspended Brice Aka and Fanyana Dhladhla.

But Aka will be available for selection for their match against SuperSport at the same venue on Wednesday.

Dhladhla, in Pietermaritzburg on a six-month loan from Sundowns, got a red card in their 2-1 defeat to Orlando Pirates in midweek.

It would have been nice for Igesund to have him for tomorrow's tie because his confidence is high after scoring a beauty against Pirates.

United's boss Farouk Kadodia confirmed that Igesund's contract was under review.

The experience of Dikulu Bageta should count for the hosts at the back, but will he be able to deal with Mabhuti Khenyeza?

Ajax coach Craig Rosslee, who has been offered an improved contract, will miss the suspended Franklin Cale.
