The second winner of the Sowetan R5000 Christmas shopping prize is Mirriam Mthembu.
Mthembu, like yesterday's winner Mmathota Hessie Sewe, is from the Free State.
An excited Mthembu of Villiers said she bought two copies of the paper to ensure that she had a better chance of winning.
"I am very excited that I won," she said. "I entered the competition on Monday and did not win, so to maximise my chances of winning, I bought two copies of Sowetan. I am now going to have a great Christmas.
"I am going to use the money to buy groceries and clothes for my two children this December."
Sowetan has received a huge response from readers. On Monday we had 15000 entries and yesterday 16000.
