BlakMale, a kwaito group that was formed in the early 1990s, has regrouped to exploit new opportunities in the industry.

Their new album, Boys Night Out, exudes energy and positive vibrations and defines their new attitude of success.

BlakMale was founded in 1991 with five members but the reformed band now comprises only two members - Mongameli "MoGo" (pronounced Mojo) Motlhabi and Motsapi "Jaleel" Motshoane.

"From the beginning BlakMale has maintained its primary objective - to study music and to use it to convey the views, aspiration and emotions of the youth of South Africa and the world over," the duo say.

The pair also say they aspire to creating opportunities for talented individuals who are less fortunate.

This they want to achieve through business ventures such as BlakMale Productions, theirproduction company.

BlakMale is a team of two highly talented and ambitious entrepreneurs - Jaleel has a marketing diploma and MoGo has both a degree and a diploma in sound engineering.

The duo's name is a take on the word "blackmail" which, according to the Oxford English Dictionary , is defined as "To extort money from people by threatening or exciting fear of injury". And this duo certainly have the ability to excite fear in the competition.
