Despite the venue for their Absa Premiership match against Bay United changing three times late yesterday, Free State Stars are dreaming of tasting their first win at 3.30pm on Sunday.

The game was initially scheduled for Goble Park tomorrow but changed to Welkom on Sunday after an inspection by the Premier Soccer League.

Just after 4pm yesterday, Potchefstroom's Olen Park was the new venue following a request by SABC Sport. An hour later, it was announced that it will now take place in Welkom.

"We apologise to our supporters and Free Staters for the inconvenience caused by the changes, it was beyond our control," said Mike Mokoena, Stars' chairman.

"The game will now be played in Welkom and it's final."

Commenting on the game, Stars' captain Duncan Lechesa said they hoped the changes will be a blessing in disguise, leading to their first win.

Stars' best result to date was a goalless draw against Lamontville Golden Arrows in Welkom last month.

In the other two matches, Stars suffered 0-1 defeats to Gauteng clubs - away against SuperSport United and Wits University.

Luntu Mazana, who scored a beauty in United's shock 2-0 win over Orlando Pirates in Port Elizabeth last Sunday, said they wanted to maintain their winning form. The PSL newcomers are still on cloud nine after the win.

Prior to their incredible upset, United played to a 1-all draw against Moroka Swallows in Rustenburg before going down 3-0 to Santos in Cape Town.

United's striker Jimmy Zakazaka will come up against his former club for the first time.
