Rudolf Krol, Orlando Pirates' coach, has urged The Ghost to be a little more patient to enable him transform their favourite club into an all conquering side.

This comes after Pirates once more failed to score in their second Absa Premiership match after they played to a goalless draw with Bidvest Wits on Friday night.

During their opening league game, Pirates were defeated 0-1 by Lamontville Golden Arrows in Durban two weeks ago.

Wits beat Santos 2-0 in their first match.

Krol, the Dutch legend, is adamant there is light at the end of the tunnel for the Bucs, whose chairman Irvin Khoza went on a signing spree to strengthen the team.

"The supporters must just give us a little more time, we are working on various combinations to get the best for the team," said Krol.

"One of the biggest challenges we are faced with is the ongoing international games. It is not possible to prepare for a game with all my players.

"In the past two weeks, we had nine players from Pirates who were out on the continent to fulfill their obligations to their respective national teams.

"What we need to do is to tighten up our defence and also be more aggressive up front. We were just unlucky in the second half."

Eric Tinkler, Wits' assistant coach, said: "We started very well in the first half where we missed two golden scoring opportunities.

"In the second half, we were quite poor as Pirates dominated. It's not that they created serious problems for us as our goalie Energy Murambadoro was on holiday.

"The plan for us this season is to do well; we are still well on track."

In the 65th minute Jerry Adriano became the first Cape Verde citizen to play in a South African league when he replaced Rudzani Ramudzuli. He showed some neat touches and good runs off the ball, something that elicited cheers from The Ghost.
