The case of four men accused of being involved in the gang rape of a Durban woman was postponed in the Pinetown magistrate's court yesterday.
The accused - whose names cannot be released - were expected to be indicted to the Durban high court but magistrate Corel Language said the court was still waiting for the indictments.
The four were remanded in police custody until July 24.
Three of the accused are charged with rape as well as robbery with aggravating circumstances, while the fourth accused faces only a charge of robbery with aggravating circumstances.
A fifth member of the group pleaded guilty to raping 21-year-old Jessica Foord, who has allowed herself to be identified in the Durban high court, and was sentenced earlier this month.
He received a 17-year sentence, of which eight years will be spent at a juvenile rehabilitation centre. He also received a 10-year sentence for robbery with aggravating circumstances.
Foord and her father Tim had been taking their dogs for a walk at a dam in Hillcrest when they were accosted by the group of men.
The Durban high court heard that Tim was bound to a tree and forced to watch his daughter being repeatedly raped by four of the men. - Sapa
