Zimbabweans must be helped to oust Mugabe

By unknown | Jun 19, 2008 | COMMENTS [ 0 ]

Whoever is floating the idea of a government of national unity between Robert Mugabe and the MDC in Zimbabwe must be from another planet.

Mugabe and Zanu-PF are serial killers whose thirst for blood increases every day.

How does one unite with them when their hands are dripping with fresh blood?

As I write Mugabe and Zanu-PF are out killing, beating and torturing all those perceived to be their opponents. Multitudes have been displaced, more than 65 killed or maimed and others are in hospitals.

The proposal for a government of national unity will be construed to mean that Mugabe is invincible. Remember that in the 1980s Mugabe and Zanu-PF murdered, raped, tortured, intimidated and abducted tens of thousands of Matabeles.

So what is to stop him from employing the same method now? That the violence he is perpetrating now should deter the elections is unthinkable.

People have suffered enough already and should be assisted to achieve their objective of ousting Mugabe and Zanu-PF once and for all.

Simba Makoni is so obsessed with power that he thinks if he were to preside over a transitional government people wouldn't be killed anymore.

He was the general secretary of the SADC when the Matabeles were murdered and he never said a thing!
