Ministers of religion must practise what they preach to their congregations.
They must live according to the principles of the Holy Bible. Those who fail to do so should not be allowed to preach the Word of God.
We find it rather disturbing therefore that when Pastor Diphapang Potsane spoke out against errant clerics in the Soshanguve branch of the Ethiopian Church in Zion he was suspended.
He had criticised deacons and bishops for indulging in alcohol, smoking and having extramarital affairs.
South Africa's Ministers Fraternal has rightly intervened to resolve the matter.
What should be remembered is that the primary role of the church is to teach people about morals.
