South African Coal Mining Holdings' rise from the ashes of AltX-listed Yomhlaba Resources saw it post higher operating profit than revenue, due to credits for Umlaba mine and debt restructuring.

Coal sales generated an operating profit of R16 million from 350000 tons produced by Umlaba mine during the last four months of the financial year to end 31 December.

A R4 million operating profit came from equipment rentals.Its total operating profit came in at R131 million.
