Gateway Clinic in Bloemfontein will receive a donation from Bloemfontein Celtic today that will include computers, chairs and curtains as part of the club's social responsibility programme.

The donation will be made at the National Hospital where the clinic is situated and the function starts at noon.

The institution accommodates pregnant women and children and it is not in a good condition.

Sello Nduna, Phunya Selesele's spokesman, revealed to Sowetan yesterday that they will also try to give the clinic a new look by painting it.

"Our players and technical staff will demonstrate their painting skills when they try to give the clinic a new look," said Nduna, a teacher at Tsoseletso High School in Bloemfontein.

"Club officials and government representatives will also grace the event. Our players will have time to interact with the staff and the patients at the clinic. These are some of the people who always support the team and their loyalty has made the team what it is today.

"We will also donate a photocopying machine and a DVD system to the clinic, and the overall donation is worth more than R50000. We are excited to give back to the community," Nduna said.

The side's delegation will be led by chief executive Ikie Augousti.
