Former Bloemfontein Celtic midfielder Abram "Wire" Nteo has found a new home at National First Division side African Warriors.
The player, who had a stint at AmaZulu and the now defunct Cape Town Hellenic, has been signed as a free agent.
Nteo has been without a club since Phunya Selesele released him at the end of last season.
The Free State giants freed the experienced midfielder after he failed to command a regular place during his three-year stay with the team.
Nteo faced stiff competition at Celtic from workaholic midfielder John Maduka.
The former Under-23 star established himself at Celtic during the Styles Phumo era.
He rejoined the Mangaung-based Warriors a season after they were relegated to the National First Division.
Nteo joins other former teammates in the likes of Mphongoa Lebajoa, Hendrick Gulwa, Aaron Lepele and Fees Moloi, who were signed by Warriors at the start of the season.
Jabu Khumalo, Warriors' managing director, who maintains that Nteo still has something special to offer, said they have agreed on a two-year contract.
Khumalo also revealed the signing of national Under-20 defender Tshepo Gumede, who played for Royal Coastal, a Vodacom Division side in KwaZulu-Natal, and Lebo Ramolesa from Celtic.
Gumede has been signed on a three-year deal while Ramolesa is on loan.
The flamboyant Khumalo said they were negotiating with Orlando Pirates to sign Thulani Lukhele, who is also an Under-20 player.
Warriors have also bolstered their technical team by signing former Free State Stars and Celtic goalkeeper Gabriel Njerengo as goalkeeper coach.
Njerengo will work with head coach Molefi Ntseki and Morena Ramorebodi.
"I believe we have struck the balance with the latest signings. Njerengo brings valuable experience in the goalkeeping department.
"We are building for the future by signing youthful players," said Khumalo.
The improving QwaQwa outfit has made strides since being promoted.
They are fifth on the Inland Stream log and have garnered 13 points from three wins, four draws and four defeats out of 11 games.
They are behind log leaders FC AK (24 points), Dynamos (18), GaRankuwa United (14) and Winnerspark (14).
On Friday Warriors host Dynamos in a league game at Charles Mopeli Stadium at 4pm and their recent acquisitions will get a chance to prove themselves.
