"At 11.45am yesterday, a red Nissan 1400 light delivery vehicle knocked down and killed a pedestrian," said Inspector Kobeli Mokheseng, spokesman for the Ekurhuleni Metro Police.
A bystander said the man had appeared from the nearby Makausi informal settlement running in an attempt to cross the road. The bakkie then knocked him down. - Sapa
