Please allow me space to express my opinion in this open letter to President Mbeki.
Sir, I would like to request you to do more to unify not only the ANC, but the country at large. I appeal to you not to undermine the decisions of the ANC delegates as they represent the feelings of the masses.
My advice to you is that I have never seen any Mbeki supporter among the people on the ground. Only the rich, SABC big shots and the BEE are disappointed about the outcome of the democratic process in Limpopo. Please stop referring to ANC decisions as careerism while you want to cling to power. What do you call that, sir?
Maybe the ambition to rule forever, as Mugabe does, has brought about the need to protect corruption and maladministration as shown by your supporters when RDP houses are allocated. I have immense respect for you but your behaviour seems to change gradually. Please, stop invoking actions that are contrary to the ANC and other tripartite alliance partners.
Sir, you still have the opportunity to be part of a united South Africa, not a cause for the division of the ANC. For the sake of South Africa, take a leaf from Nelson Mandela and support the new ANC president without any reservations and conditions.
South Africans will not take it lightly if you resurrect the NPA charges against Zuma.
