This year was the bicentennial anniversary of the abolition of slavery. It is sad that 200 years after slavery was made illegal, it still exists, but under a different name - human trafficking.
Girls and women who enter South Africa as a result of human trafficking are simply declared illegal aliens and sent back home. I know we have problems of our own, but we can't ignore exploitation of any kind. We have progressive laws to help prevent trafficking. It is now time to enforce them.
