Elegance, glitz and glamour are words that describe the dotGot red-carpet year-end banquet at Johannesburg's, Monte Casino.
A division of the Rhema Bible Church, dotGod ministry is a hip and happening church body that appeals to young adults.
Its services are held every Sunday at 7pm.
The year-end banquet, which included an award-giving ceremony, was a rip-roaring success, which drew more than 250 youngsters from dotGod and other churches.
The dotGod coordinator, Wayne Chafunya, pictured, said he was impressed with the turnout.
"We were looking at hosting 250 volunteers but we ended up registering more than we had expected. I was thrilled. This was a great event and the attendance was amazing," said Chafunya.
The awards were aimed at recognising the outstanding work done by members of dotGod. Sukesh Bhandari scooped the dotGoder of the year award and Keke Semenyane, the ambassador of the year award.
The Alexandra ministry of the year award was taken by a coffee shop group for its role in connecting people. The award winners said they were excited and "gave the glory to God".
"It was an opportunity to bring all volunteers together to celebrate the victories that God has won for us. Thanksgiving to God has to be done in style because He is a God of excellence," said Chafunya.
He also addressed 120 teenagers from different scripture unions across the country on issues that preoccupy the minds of people in Mpumalanga.
