Lekota did well to speak up

Bravo Terror Lekota for standing up against tribalism, moral decay and for publicly condemning Jacob Zuma for his hypocrisy.

Bravo Terror Lekota for standing up against tribalism, moral decay and for publicly condemning Jacob Zuma for his hypocrisy.

Martin Luther King Jr said: "A man's true character is not shown in times of comfort and convenience, but in times of challenge and controversy."

It is a disgrace that the ANCWL, because they fear losing positions and friends, have nominated Zuma for president.

How quickly they have forgotten Zuma's opinions and stance about women and HIV-Aids.

The women in the league have no guts or character and that is why they chose Zuma. How dare they think about leading us? Indeed, it is true that politicians memorise the names and dates of history, but not the lessons.

The man who has campaigned viciously against women's equality and empowerment in the government has been forgiven.

Lekota, even though he risks being in the political wilderness for speaking out, has decided to stand up for the truth rather than find solace in hypocritical comrades with triple agendas who hide behind nice words to deceive the public.

Although I voted for the ANC before, this time kiss my vote goodbye. I will, however, vote in the following national election.

Charles Tshwane, Johannesburg
