Many blacks wholeheartedly supported South Africa at the Rugby World Cup, but not necessarily the divisive Springbok emblem.
People like President Thabo Mbeki and Sasol's Bheki Khumalo have gone overboard in defending the often-flawed rugby status quo.
Khumalo must be honest and ask himself if he didn't benefit from affirmative criteria to the presidency, Siemens and Sasol?
It will be hypocritical to deny the same fast-track transformation to benefit blacks in sport. Will Sasol be happy to drop its complimentary Amagluglug? Leave our football names alone.
