Pop superstar Prince has been named in a R7million lawsuit after allegedly failing to pay computer goods worth about R85000.
Ian Lewis filed the lawsuit at Los Angeles superior court on Wednesday, claiming the Purple Rain hitmaker breached a contract by taking "several hard drives used for video production" and not paying for them.
He further claims the singer returned a loaned computer of about R175000 "in a broken and unfixable condition".
Lewis is seeking R7million damages. A spokesman for Prince was unavailable for comment. - Wenn
