Two stable mates, Oliver Mtukudzi and Mina Nawe, an Afropop group, have been nominated for the 4th Channel O Yearly Awards. Mtukudzi, pictured, who recently released his 54th album, Tsimba Itsoka, has been nominated in the cate- gory, Special Recognition Award and Mina Nawe for the Best Video.
Mtukudzi and Mina nawe are from Sheer Sound.
"We are proud to announce that the lege- ndary Mtukudzi and Mina Nawe have been nominated for the awards," said Sheer Sound spokesman Don Khaile.
He said Mtukudzi's new album had sold 20000 copies in three weeks. Khaile said he also expected Mina Nawe's release, Sunshine, to take Mzansi by storm.
