The Orlando Pirates Under-15 team leaves for England on Sunday for their second attempt at lifting the Manchester United Under-15 Premier Cup.

It will be the second time that the Buccaneers will take part in the international tournament featuring academy teams from 20 countries.

Last year they bombed out in the quarterfinals but got a second bite this year as the Bucs teams swept the boards in all junior categories. Pirates won the championship at Under-12, -15, -17 and Under-19 level.

The Under-15 team coached by former senior team assistant and caretaker coach, Tebogo Moloi, will have a farewell dinner with club chairman Irvin Khoza this evening.

Among the top academies that will take part in this year's edition are Barcelona (Spain), Sao Paolo (Brazil), Colo-colo and Atlas (Mexico), Roma (Italy), Everton (England), FC Basle (Switzerland), Hertha Bremen (Germany), Kryia Sovetov (Russia), Wien (Austria) and New Zealand's Real Socal.

The final draw will be held at Old Trafford next Tuesday and Pirates are confident of doing well in the five-day tournament.

"We are taking a team with international experience. The bulk of this team are players who took part in the Danone Under-12 Nations Cup," said Pirates development director Augusto Palacios. "I also have all the confidence in the head coach [Moloi]."
