The Fees Must Fall protests had dire consequences for café employee Eddie at the University of Cape .
What is happening at Moroka Swallows?
The team with such a rich history has no direction. Instead of going for a coach with intergrity they opted for Ian Gorowa, pictured, who has not coached any team before.
The Zimbabwean has been an assistant to Gordon Igesund and Muhsin Ertugral at Ajax Cape Town, and now he is given the task of coaching the Beautiful Birds, one of the top teams in the Castle Premiership.
The Birds are a flop. Why not go for top coaches such as Trott Motlo, Shakes Mashaba, Mlungisi Ngubane and a host of others who have been in coaching longer than Gorowa?
I think Swallows' management has taken a totally wrong move by employing Gorowa, but we'll see as time goes.
Leon Prins is everything in the club and his subordinates - Sipho Xulu and Bernard Mtshali, who claims to be in management, do not know exactly what is happening in the team.
Xulu has been appointed as one of the directors of the Birds while Mtshali has been a team manager who does not know what is exactly happening in the club.
The only person who knows is Prins, who is in the Mother City.
I have argued and fought with these two guys about their positions. To me they are just tokens, but they insist they are for real.
A week ago when Gorowa was appointed, neither of the two knew anything about it.
When Prins confirmed the name, they were not aware that I already had the story.
So you can ask yourself if the two are only tools without direction.
I have persistently asked Xulu and Mtshali to tell me what their positions are in the club. They have been boasting that they are in management - but they are only tokens.
Apart from playing well the club need some guidance. A black person to give supporters and fans what they want to know and hear.
They have parted company with the club's PRO Sello Maugane who was dismissed unceremoniously by management.
The youngster was shown the door for simply raising issues in the company.
