Reggae music lovers are in for a treat come July when the world's leading reggae ambassadors, UK-based UB40, hit South Africa for performances in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town.

The much-loved reggae prophets will perform at the Durban Convention Centre on July 4, The Dome Johannesburg on July 6 and Cape Town on July 10.

A decade ago they enthralled South African audiences and there's no doubt they will do it once again. The concert is sponsored by 94.7 Highveld Stereo, 94.5 KFM, East Coast Radio and is organised by BIG Concerts.

UB40 has had an illustrious career that spans more than 25 years. They have performed with U2, Pink Floyd, Coldplay, The Who Madonna and Robbie Williams.

With an Ivor Novello Award, more than 50million albums sold worldwide and 53 chart singles under their belt, UB40 continues to appeal to a public too diverse to be defined by age, generation or culture.

Their hit single Swing Low was the anthem for the England rugby team's triumphant World Cup campaign in 2003.
