A man from Bronkhorstspruit was mauled by four dogs at the weekend after their owner's gate was allegedly left open.
Thapelo Makhubela, 21, of Ape Street, Bester Park in Bronkhorstspruit, was attacked by the dogs on Saturday evening.
Makhubela sustained serious injuries to both legs and arms, as well as bruises to his body. He is recuperating at Pretoria East Hospital.
Sergeant Willie Hlatshwayo, of the Bronkhorstspruit police, confirmed the incident but said no case had been opened.
When Sowetan visited Makhubela yesterday his arms and his ankles were wrapped in bandages.
