He thinks being a manager gives him licence to have any woman, any time he wants. He called my wife at night to ask her out, even though he knows she is married with three children.

Power is a potent weapon and if it is used destructively, it brings untold misery. Men like him use powerful positions in the workplace to seek sexual favours, knowing their power will invariably protect them from consequences.

For this man, power has also meant treating married women as his own possessions.

Calm down and deal with this more rationally.

Has your wife reported this man for sexual harassment? Has she spoken to other women in the company to determine whether this man is a serial power-abuser?

Perhaps this was a one-off? Whatever the situation, you must calm down and deal with this in a mature and rational manner.

Your letter provided the name of this man and the company he works for, and I suspect you were hoping he would be exposed and shamed on this page. That is not going to happen.

Imagine if newspapers printed only one side of the story?

Take this advice. I have no doubt that this man is a workplace sexual bully but your reaction is not going to help matters.
