Popular SABC3 continuity presenter and businesswoman Mpho Sono has landed another role as a presenter on

The sassy Sono will present the new show Forgive and Forget where she will play the love doctor.

The show, which starts on January 9 at 8.30pm, will have an emotional finale to every episode as Sono and her crew travel across the country, following participants setting out to renew ties to loved ones with whom they have lost contact.

The participants will undertake their daunting emotional journey on screen to demonstrate that they are genuinely remorseful and committed to the undertaking, while Sono will aim to ensure that they not only forgive the other person but heal their broken relationship.

Sono described the show as being long overdue, and added: "I think it is an amazing show and I'm excited to be part of it.

"South Africans are a forgiving nation and people will be pouring their hearts out to reach and to be forgiven by their loved ones.

"It is also a new experience for me as I will be mediating between two people and obviously it is going to be a roller coaster ride as emotions are involved.

"However, there is no doubt that the show will make an impact in the lives of the viewers," the new presenter said.

Sono said that the shooting of scenes of some episodes had already started.

The show is expected to draw myriad viewers across South Africa who want to mend damaged or lapsed relationships.
