Zola Thamae, manager of the South African women's cricket team, says her charges are geared up for the five one-day international matches against Pakistan in Pretoria in January.

The opening game between the two sides will take place at Laudium on January 20.

Thamae said preparations for the tournament have gone well and she is confident the team will do well especially, in front of their supporters.

"Our preparations that started two months ago have been going smoothly.

"Early this month we had a successful four-day training camp where players went through rigorous training under the watchful of coach Noor Rhoda,'' said Thamae.

The training camp was held at Cricket SA's High Performance Centre at the University of Pretoria.

Thamae said two changes have been made to the 13-member squad due to injuries.

Captain Cri-Zelda Britz and Shafeeqa Pillay were replaced by Shandre Fritz and Angelique Taai.

The squad: Susan Benade (Free State); Fritz (North West); Trisha Chetty (KwaZulu-Natal); Ashlyn Kilowan, Sunette Loubser, Claire Terblanche (Western Province); Marcia Letsoalo, Daleen Terblanche (Gauteng); Johmari Logtenberg (vice captain, KwaZulu-Natal); Annelie Minnie (Free State); Taai (Border) and Alicia Smith (Boland).
