Athletics South Africa yesterday announced that it has been advised by the SA Institute for Drug Free Sport that Zolani Ntongana's urine sample, collected at a race in George last month, contained a prohibited substance.

Ntongana has been suspended pending the result of his B-sample test.

In accordance with IAAF Rule 32.2(a), the presence of a prohibited substance constitutes an anti-doping rule violation. - Sowetan
