Stop naming so many streets after Mandela

IS IT really necessary to have yet another road named after Nelson Mandela? How unoriginal.

The man's name is scattered all over South Africa. Like sheep, we have to name Eastern Boulevard in Cape Town after him as well.

Isn't it time to consider naming streets after nurses, teachers, social workers, police, firefighters, farmers, artists, writers, musicians, actors, scientists, mathematicians, doctors, nature conservationists and humanitarians? And some freedom fighters of course, but only those who have proved themselves after tastin power.

Mandela deserves recognition, but isn't it enough?
