Vavi is a hypocrite when it comes to riches

THE media are fascinated by Kenny Kunene's raw fish eating habits. The leaders of Cosatu say Kunene is an example of the evils of "conspicuous consumption".

Kunene has thrown a R700000 party attended by leaders of the ANC and ANC Youth League. It seems to me that Vavi is more hypocritical than Kunene.

Does Vavi and Cosatu hate the fact that Kunene eats his money publicly (conspicuously)?

Do they prefer the "discreet consumption" of the white capitalists? I see the white wealthy do nothing all day long but eat all kinds of exotic dishes in places like Hyde Park Corner.

White capitalists spend millions on luxurious life that include owning yachts and holiday homes and going to the Alps.

The selective attack on individual black capitalists is part of a racist agenda.

Maybe Vavi forgets that it is ANC policy to develop a black capitalist class to join the old white capitalists.

Need I remind you dear reader, it is Vavi and Cosatu that encourage workers and the poor every election to vote for the ANC. Vavi must face his contradictions; he simply can't have it both ways. All capitalists are evil!

Actually when one thinks about it, Vavi and Cosatu are like someone who selectively condemns gangsters they don't like but not the institution of gangsterism itself.

Capitalism, which is supported and maintained by the ANC, is a gangster project proper; it steals from the many to enrich the few. So why Kunene and not Tokyo Sexwale who is reported to be buying an Island in Mozambique, comrade Cyril Ramaphosa is obscenely wealthy and his mining activities in Mpumalanga are displacing poor black peasants from land and what about the benefactor of the ANC, comrade Patrice Motsepe?

I don't hear Vavi complain about the ways of the white capitalist families such as the Oppenheirmers, the Ruperts or the Kroks.

It's hypocritical to condemn Kunene for using women in a degrading manner when most music videos promote the same thing.

In ANC election rallies we see dancers clad just like Kunene's models. What's good for the ANC must be good for Kunene. We didn't see Vavi and his comrades walk out in disgust from these kwaito parties.

What is more obscene and degrading is the fact that black women in this country are the most poor.

They struggle to raise their children and feed their families and yet its been 16 years of Vavi's ANC government in power. Does Vavi know that there is still the bucket system in South Africa? That, comrade Vavi, is what's morally degrading.

Kunene shows that there is enough wealth in this country for the promised "better life for all". Under the ANC alliance government, the connected have amassed so much money they don't know what to do with it. While the poor black majority is still destitute.

This is part of government policy; Kunene had done nothing illegal, just like our cabinet ministers who are driven in cars worth millions of rands.

Is Vavi perhaps terrified that the poor masses may rebel once they see how the elite lives?

The whole system managed by the ANC alliance is rotten. Thanks to Kunene we know how the rich live. Who are we voting for in the next election, comrade Vavi?
