100 years for killing 14-year-old

Youth (17) admitted to the rape and murder

An 18-year-old Indiana man has been sentenced to 100 years in prison for the murder and rape of a 14-year-old girl.

Joshua Wright's sentence was part of a plea agreement with the Whitley County prosecutor's office for the murder and rape of Kaylin Doggendorf in northern Indiana.

The attack occurred in March 2010, when Wright was 17.

Wright pleaded guilty but mentally ill in exchange for the sentence handed down by Whitley County Circuit Judge James Heuer.

Wright's term could be reduced by half on account of good behaviour, releasing him at the age of 68, according to the prosecutor's office.
