EFF and ANC bicker over poster in Juju’s home town

Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) officials were involved in a brief standoff with African National Congress (ANC) counterparts over an ANC poster near a polling station in Seshego on Wednesday morning.

An angry EFF official approached a group of ANC officials‚ among them former ANC Youth League provincial secretary Jacob Lebogo‚ and asked them to take down an ANC poster hanging outside a house just a stone’s throw away from the Mponegele Primary School polling station.

“No‚ this is not allowed‚ we are asking them nicely to remove the poster because it’s clear campaigning and they are just being stubborn‚” the EFF official said.

ANC party officials refused to take down the poster‚ saying: “He must show us the clause that says that poster is not allowed to be there‚ otherwise he must just leave us alone and stop trying to start drama.”

EFF leader Julius Malema‚ who calls Seshego home‚ is expected to cast his vote at the polling station at midday.

In the morning‚ things were going smooth at the voting station.
