The Department of Home Affairs on Tuesday experienced some hiccups in its efforts to extend its services to help people participate in the local government elections.

The department has‚ since Monday‚ been punting that “our offices have extended operating hours so that you can #CollectYourID”.

This includes the later closing time of 6pm on Monday and Tuesday‚ and opening on Wednesday from 7am to 7pm – mirroring the opening hours of the voting stations.

The department took to Twitter – via HomeAffairsSA ?@HomeAffairsSA  — on Tuesday to alert: “Botshabelo‚ Garankuwa‚ Thabazimbi‚ Giyani and Atamelang offices are #offline. We apologise for the inconvenience caused.” – TMG Digital
