Kwaito star Sipho Charles Ndlovu, popularly known as Brickz, was found guilty of rape by the Roodepoort Magistrate's Court on Friday afternoon.

The judgment was handed down by Magistrate John Baloyi following a three-year long trial battle.

Baloyi told a packed courtroom, which Sunday World attended, that Brickz was guilty as charged because he failed to convince the court that he did not commit the crime.

Brickz's R50 000 bail was immediately revoked and was led down to the holding cells as he will remain in custody until his sentencing later this month.

The musician was arrested in November 2013 for allegedly raping a 16-year-old relative.

After spending a month behind bars, he was released on R50 000 bail after taking his application to the Johannesburg High Court.

Sentencing is expected to take place next week.
