READ LETTER: Zuma is a dictator, thanks to ANC MPs who protect him in Parliament

Dictators are created in Parliament by men and women in suits and ordinary people who keep voting for patronage, corruption and the trampling of institutions that are meant to protect the ordinary people.

Dictators are created when the honourable and honest public servants are willy-nilly exchanged and vilified for the corruptible ones, and when those in power start to care more about their own positions than those who put them into power!

We are where we are because the ANC MPs chose to stand with Zuma when they should have chosen SA. Then, their loyalty was exchanged and sold to Zuma on a silver platter. Look at the US, the Republicans voted against Trump a few times because their loyalty does not lie with the president!

Watching uncle Kathy's funeral was a reminder of the bigger vision of a nonracial, united South Africa. I thank the mourners for endorsing Pravin Gordhan for the honourable man he is .

We cannot accept the vilification of those few honest public servants by prescribing to strange conspiracy theories. These conspiracy theories are what delivered the presidency to Zuma.

The urgent recall of Gordhan back into the country smacks of Zuma's fear rather of what Gordhan and team would have uncovered in the UK.

Zuma seems to think that he can hoodwink South Africans into believing this fallacy.

Zuma wants Gordhan out because he is protecting trillions of rands of people's pensions which the ANC plans to use to rescue an Eskom which is rampantly corrupt. Gordhan is not going anywhere, instead it is Zuma and Bathabile Dlamini that must go.

President Zuma's radical economic transformation is all about the Guptas and his son Duduzane Zuma.

Honestly, if this year is dedicated to Oliver Tambo, he must be turning in his grave.
