The Democratic Alliance will later this afternoon file an urgent application at the Western Cape High Court in a bid to prevent President Jacob Zuma’s new cabinet ministers being sworn in.
This comes as Zuma made 20 changes to his cabinet late Thursday night.
Some ministers have been axed‚ while others have moved to new portfolios. The new ministers and deputy ministers are due to be sworn in this evening.
Zuma released a statement saying that he had decided to make changes to the National Executive in order to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

The opposition said Zuma decision has consequences for the future of South Africa and therefore should be removed from office.
DA leader Mmusi Maimane stated that he will lead a march to the ANC’s headquarters at Luthuli House on 7 April‚ calling on the ANC to support our Motion of No Confidence in Zuma.
The party also called on political parties‚ NGOs‚ civil society to join them.
