Reshall Jimmy died when his Kuga caught alight while he was on holiday in the Wilderness‚ in the Western Cape in December 2015.

Hospital spokesman‚ Robyn Baard confirmed the fire.

“The lady had just returned to her car to move it to a parking bay when she noticed flames coming out of it.

“She managed to stop and get out of the vehicle and was fortunately not injured‚” Baard said.

The fire came two days after Ford week announced a mass recall of 4556 of its 2012-2014 1.6l EcoBoost Kugas.
