Two 16-year-old youths were shot dead and a 32-year-old man wounded in the arm while sitting on a pavement in Bloemendal‚ Port Elizabeth‚ late on Saturday night‚ Eastern Cape police said.
Police said the three victims were sitting on the corner of Lodewyk and Burke streets when a silver-/blue Toyota Corolla had driven up to them. An unknown number of men alighted from the vehicle and opened fire on them.
Police added that the victims had no gang affiliations and that the motive for the attack was unknown.
“Two cases of murder and one case of attempted murder are being investigated‚” police said.
