A Scandal! actor who was arrested at a brothel in Springs last week has been released.
The actor was arrested during a police raid at the sex den and spent three nights at the Springs police holding cells.
Police spokesman Kay Makhubele said the 21-year-old actor did not appear in court as scheduled.
"Five of the arrested people appeared in court. One man and four women appeared and were remanded in custody after the matter was postponed," Makhubele said.
A group of 17 people were arrested at the brothel after a 25-year-old woman blew the lid, leading to a police raid.
Head of corporate affairs at e.tv Vasili Vass said: "e.tv is aware of the stories and speculation surrounding the arrest of an actor, but has received no further details at this stage.
"The channel will respectfully allow due process to take place."
