A 27-year-old woman is fighting for her life after she sustained a gunshot wound to her head during an alleged armed robbery in Olievenhoutbosch‚ Pretoria‚ in which a man was also wounded in the arm‚ ER24 said.
“At approximately 4am this morning‚ paramedics from ER24 arrived on the scene where they found the woman with a serious gunshot wound to her head. She was in a critical condition. Paramedics placed the woman on life support and rushed her to a nearby hospital for further care‚” said ER24 spokesman Werner Vermaak.
“A man‚ believed to be in his early thirties‚ was also found on the scene. He had sustained a gunshot wound to his arm. He was in a stable condition and later transported to the same hospital.
“The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are not yet known. Police attended the scene and will investigate‚” Vermaak added.
