The EFF in Limpopo won a High Court battle to have the acting municipal manager for the Mogalakwena local Municipality removed on Tuesday morning.

Two parties‚ including the EFF‚ had separately made urgent applications to the Limpopo High Court in Polokwane to challenge the appointment of Sam Bambo as acting municipal manager for the troubled Mogalakwena local municipality in Mokopane.

The other party which brought an application before the court regarding the same matter was municipal accountant Duncan Kekana.

Addressing members of the media after the court handed down its ruling‚ EFF provincial secretary Jossey Buthane said they would continue to challenge corruption within municipalities while exposing the ANC government’s lawless behaviour.

Buthane accused the ruling party of trying to “milk South Africa to blood” by stealing public funds.

“We have since informed them that the appointment is irregular. They arrogantly used their numbers to defy logic. We came to court and they have granted us today the order that the appointment was irregular and must be set aside‚” he said.

Buthane said winning the court case was the beginning of more battles to be waged against the ANC within municipalities.
