The embattled chairman of the ANC in the Western Cape confirmed the postponement on Monday.

ANC spokesman‚ Zizi Kodwa‚ said last week that Fransman’s disciplinary hearing would start at the weekend‚ on Sunday.

The hearing centres around allegations of sexual harassment leveled at Fransman by his former personal assistant Louisa Wynand.

Fransman resigned as a member of the Western Cape legislature last week but has not resigned as a member of the ANC.

He made an appearance as the keynote speaker at an event in Cape Town on Monday for the Griqua Royal house at the Castle of Good Hope.

Kodwa said that the ANC would decide on a new date for the hearing.
