It was the “resilience of the fighters” that carried the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) through the past voter registration weekend “in spite of the thuggery of ruling party members”.

The EFF’s spokesperson for the upcoming local government polls‚ Veronica Mente‚ said the party’s elections task forces were to thank “for not allowing any kind of intimidation to deter the course of the revolution”.

“It is not always easy to resist the temptation to respond to unwarranted provocation‚” she said‚ and added that “South Africans are grateful for the maximum level of discipline displayed by fighters even under great provocation by the enemies of the revolution”.

No specific incidents were mentioned.

Mente claimed “a high number of new members: had joined the party‚ amd “some branches…managed to double and some tripled their membership”.

“The organisation will grow from strength to strength with footsoldiers and commissars like you who walked long distances to voting stations and some using bicycles and donkey carts‚” she predicted.
