More than 700 litres of liquor were confiscated were confiscated in the Minerton cluster in Cape Town during the past week‚ Western Cape police said.
“The Milnerton Cluster held numerous liquor operations to combat various crimes that derive from intoxicated persons‚ such as domestic violence‚ murder and assaults.
“With these operations held the Cluster confiscated over 700 litres of liquor which ranged from persons dealing without licence or persons having too much liquor on the premises at the time the police entered the said property‚” said police spokesman Captain FC van Wyk.
He added that information from the public had also assisted in the success of the operation‚ guiding police to the right locations.
