That’s the stance of the Pan Africanist Congress of Azania (PAC) on Tuesday‚ the fourth anniversary of the Marikana Massacre.
Its spokesperson Kenneth Mokgatlhe also demanded that the “three main players” – the African National Congress-led government‚ Lonmin mine and Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa – pay R1-billion to “transform the lives of the victims”.

Mokgatlhe said it was “government which brutally killed the breadwinners of 34 families”‚ and said the Farlam Commission “seemed to defend the influential and connected politicians who gave orders to kill”.
He said Ramaphosa “successfully escaped and averted to take responsibility even though we know he sent the order through the email for appropriate measures to be taken”.
He said the PAC “also applauds efforts by the Associated Mineworkers and Construction Union for ensuring that every anniversary they pay a dignified tribute to the fallen gallant heroes”.
“They are heroes because their blood seeks to liberate current and future workers to work in a more friendly environment. They sacrificed their souls for a better living wage and improved working conditions‚” Mokgatlhe said. – TMG Digital
