Residents living in the Pretoria Central Business District (CBD) should prepare themselves for a lack of water supply on Sunday the City of Tshwane announced.

The City of Tshwane’s Water and Sanitation Department will shutdown water supply in the area to replace a leaking pipeline on the corner of Kgosi Mampuru Street and Nana Sita Street.

“It was decided to immediately do the work on Sunday as this will cause minimum inconvenience - unlike during weekdays,” they said in a statement.

“The City’s team of plumbers have undertaken to ensure that the work is completed as quickly as possible so that the water interruption can be as short as possible.”

Residents are urged to store sufficient water for basic household purposes to last them the day.
