Tensions at the country’s higher education institutions are on President Jacob Zuma’s agenda for Tuesday.

Zuma is scheduled to meet with the “vice-chancellors of higher education institutions in the country to discuss the situation in several campuses at the Union Buildings in Pretoria”.

“The University Council Chairpersons Forum-South Africa and the Universities South Africa have requested to see the president to discuss the heightened tensions in some campuses‚” a Presidency statement said.
